Getting Started

Is it really free to list a property?

Yes โ€” listing on Kerala Property Finder is 100% free, with no listing fees, no brokerage, and no hidden charges. We don't currently charge for any feature on the site.

How do I create an account?

Click "Register Free" in the top menu, fill in your name, email, phone number, and a password. We'll send a 6-digit OTP code to your email โ€” enter it on the next page to verify your account. You can also sign up instantly using "Continue with Google".

I didn't receive my OTP verification code. What do I do?

First check your spam/junk folder. If it's not there, click "Resend OTP" on the verification page. Codes expire after a short time, so a resend will always give you a fresh one.

Can I sign in with Google?

Yes. Click "Continue with Google" on the login or registration page. If it's your first time, we'll ask you to confirm your phone number afterward since Google doesn't share that with us.

Listing a Property

How do I list my property?

Log in, then click "+ List Property Free" in the menu. Fill in the property details, upload at least one photo, and submit. Your listing will go live once our admin team reviews and approves it.

Do you charge for leads or inquiries?

No, never. Listing is completely free, and so is receiving leads. Unlike some platforms that offer free listing but charge you to view or access buyer/tenant inquiries, we don't charge for leads โ€” ever. Your property, your leads, your choice.

Who can see my phone/WhatsApp number?

Your number is never visible to the general public โ€” only registered, logged-in users can see it. If you want even more privacy, you can check "Hide my phone/WhatsApp number" when listing, which keeps it hidden from everyone, including registered users. Interested buyers or tenants can still reach you through our secure contact form, without ever seeing your number.

How long does approval take?

Our team reviews new and edited listings as quickly as possible. You'll get an email the moment your listing is approved or if it needs changes.

Why was my listing rejected?

Check your dashboard โ€” rejected listings show the specific reason our admin team gave. Common reasons include unclear photos, incomplete details, or information that couldn't be verified. You can edit and resubmit at any time.

Can I edit my listing after it's approved?

Yes, from "My Dashboard" click "Edit" on any listing. Note that edited listings go back to pending status and need to be re-approved before changes appear publicly again.

How many photos can I upload, and how do I manage them?

Up to 8 photos per listing, at least 1 required. Photos are automatically cropped, optimized, and watermarked. From the edit page, click the star icon on any photo to make it the main display photo, or the ร— to delete it โ€” you must always keep at least one photo.

What's the difference between listing as "Owner" or "Broker"?

This tells buyers upfront who they're dealing with, and is shown as a badge on your listing. Choose whichever accurately describes your relationship to the property.

Do I need a RERA number to list?

No, the RERA registration number field is optional. If you have one, adding it can increase buyer confidence in your listing.

Searching & Browsing

How do I filter search results?

Use the search bar on the homepage for property type, district, and sale/rent. Click "Advanced Filters" to also filter by price range, area range, and minimum bedrooms.

What do "Lakh" and "Crore" mean?

These are the standard Indian ways of writing large numbers: 1 Lakh = 1,00,000 and 1 Crore = 1,00,00,000 (=100 Lakh). We show this alongside prices to make amounts easier to read at a glance.

How do I save a search and get notified about new matches?

Set your filters, then click "๐Ÿ”” Save this search & get email alerts" (you must be logged in). We'll email you whenever a new property matching those filters gets approved. Manage your saved searches from "Saved Searches" in the menu.

How do I save a property to favorites?

Open any listing and click "๐Ÿค Save to Favorites". View everything you've saved anytime under "My Favorites" in the menu.

What does the "โœ… Verified" badge mean?

Our admin team has reviewed this specific listing more closely and marked it as verified. It's an extra trust signal, though we still recommend doing your own due diligence before any transaction (see below).

What is the KPF number shown on listings?

That's the property's unique reference code (e.g. KPF10004). It's handy to quote when contacting support or discussing a specific listing.

Contacting a Lister

How do I contact a property owner?

If their number is visible, you'll see call/WhatsApp buttons (on mobile) or the number itself (on desktop) once you're logged in. If they've kept their number private, click "Contact Owner via Email" instead โ€” this sends them a message without revealing your email publicly.

Why can't I see a lister's phone number?

Either you're not logged in yet (register free to unlock contact details), or the lister has specifically chosen to hide their number โ€” in that case, use the "Contact Owner via Email" option instead.

Is my email address shown publicly when I contact someone?

No. When you use "Contact Owner via Email," your message is relayed to the lister with your email only visible inside that message โ€” never displayed publicly on the site.

Trust & Safety

How do I report a suspicious or fake listing?

Open the listing and click "๐Ÿšฉ Report this listing" (you must be logged in). Choose a reason and add any details โ€” our admin team reviews every report.

Is Kerala Property Finder involved in the actual transaction?

No โ€” we're a listing platform only, not a broker or party to any deal. We don't verify ownership or handle payments. Always independently verify documents, inspect the property in person, and consult a lawyer before proceeding with any transaction.

Language

How do I switch the site to Malayalam?

Click the "EN | เดฎเดฒ" toggle in the top-right of the header. Your language choice is remembered for future visits.
